run, janelle, run!

No matter how many curve balls life throws your way… or how bad you think you may have it, be thankful for what you do have.

I’m thankful for my health, for my wonderful family, for a few select friends and for my ability to run.

For it is only in my darkest moments and after much reflection that I am overwhelmed and surprised by the strength of my legs and my spirit- both of which have helped me to stand up each time I fall, allowing me to move swiftly forward into the life that is awaiting me.

“Come to the edge.”
“We can’t. We’re afraid.”
“Come to the edge.”
“We can’t. We will fall!”
“Come to the edge.”
And they came.
And he pushed them.
And they flew.

Guillaume Apollinaire,   1880-1918

French Poet, Philosopher
