Simple, Healthy Recipes: Boiled Okra

Ingredients:

  • Frozen or Fresh Okra, pre-chopped
  • 1 Small, yellow onion
  • 1 Clove, fresh garlic
  • Cayenne pepper, to taste
  • Pinch of Sea Salt

Directions:

  • Chop onion into small slices. Set aside.
  • Chop garlic clove. Set aside.
  • In a medium-size pot, place frozen okras, garlic and onion in water.
  • Bring water to a rapid boil.
  • Lower heat to ‘low’ and allow to simmer until okra is tender to the touch (anywhere from 10-15 minutes).
